Good afternoon , as I am a teacher of grades 5 - 7, as per me, Ethical use of AI in teaching English in grades 5 - 7 requires careful attention to ensure that technology complements traditional methods rather than replacing them. AI can help with vocabulary, grammar and listening skills by offering personalised exercises and instant feedback. However, it is important to monitor that students do not rely solely on AI to complete tasks, but develop their own thinking and writing skills. It is also important to consider the protection of personal data and explain to children how to use technology appropriately. The main challenge for teachers is to integrate AI into the learning process in a way that keeps the lessons lively and creative.

I want to express my point of view by considering it from different angles. I am also not against the use of AI technologies, because the level of development they have achieved at the moment is impressive. I want to say that AI technologies are not only about plagiarism and non-original content. For example, I use AI to create didactic materials and AI is very useful and good at this.
If we talk about school students, in my opinion, the problem with the use of AI technologies by students (for example, in writing essays) is that they are absolutely incompetent in this matter, like us, they do not understand that it is already quite easy to recognize a task completed by AI technologies.
If you teach students to use AI technologies correctly and effectively, they will be able to use them for an original and non-standard solution to educational problems. This does not mean "silly" cheating, but using them as a convenient and quick tool - an assistant.
Simple example:
Not: write an essay on the topic My favorite movie
And instead: how to write an essay correctly? An example of an essay on the topic My favorite movie for the 8th grade, etc.
I believe that teachers have also created thousands of opportunities in terms of using AI technologies that help create beautiful and modern materials, develop exercises and interactive games, and what can I say if almost all original sites like Quizlet or Canva implement AI in their systems.
I would like to recommend you several useful AI sites for teachers, please try them in your work: educaplay; magic school ai; diffit;
