1. First and foremost grammar forms should be taught directly backed by the robust theoretical and practical materials. A great deal of time needs to be contributed to covering the critical issues of the theme in question. Dwelling on the grammar rules promotes better understanding and consolidating grammar theme. Afterwards, students will find it easier to apply acqired knoweledge within context. But they should bear in mind that practice makes perfect.
2. Predominantely, students are into play-based lessons to study grammar. In this regard, direct instructions appear to be pretty effective. As a teacher of the first-year students I conducted a fun drawing activity in terms of homophones. I called out a word revised within our grammar theme, i.e. "date", then asked students to draw two different pictures that fit the word. As a result, educators took in the material and enjoyed the time as well.

Teaching grammar in context is an important component of effective language teaching. This method not only enriches the understanding of grammatical rules, but also ensures their practical use in real social situations. The most effective way is practical examples. Let's say a teacher provides students with a text about a trip and asks them to highlight examples of the use of certain tenses of verbs in the text. This method allows students not only to see how grammar works in real sentences, but also to understand how the rules can change in different contexts. Teaching grammar through context also involves creating real-world scenarios in which students can apply the rules they have learned. For example, when studying conditional sentences, students are asked to consider situations from their daily lives and express them using appropriate conditional constructions.

As for me grammar forms should be taught in context to help students understand their practical use in real communication. However, some direct instruction is beneficial, especially for introducing rules or clarifying confusing structures. Generally balanced approach works best: combine contextual learning and direct instruction.
For instance, while teaching past simple to 5th grades, First and fore most I shared a short story or simple example and highlihted verbs like opened or played in context. Students identified patterns and practiced creating their own sentences. In my opinion, this approach os more effective, because they saw the relevance and retained the rules better.

Hello, dear collegues!
It goes without saying that, learning any information based on a context and some additional facts plays a crucial role both in teaching and learning. Especially themes as grammatical structures and forms are always are a bit complicated to grasp. This is why, by teaching grammar based on a contextual forms is much more effective.

I believe that the best way would be to teach grammar with both methods, direct and contextual, since both have strengths and weaknesses.
Pros: Direct grammar lessons allow students to understand rulers, and their application, which is especially effective with older students. It helps to understand the logical structure of of the grammar.
Cons: It might seem too abstract for comprehension, since we understand information better within the context.
Learning grammar within context helps to outweigh the cons, because integration of context provides meaning to the grammatical rules, making it less abstract, but might be hard to some to understand the patterns. In other words:
Pros: Rules start to make sense with context
Cons: Hard to understand the patterns of rules without direct explanation
The two methods complete each other, and that's why they should be used together.

I think, a balanced approach is often the most effective. Direct grammar instruction can be used to provide foundamental knowledge, but it should identify be reinforced through real life examples and communication. This combination helps learners both understand and use grammar confidently.
