Claire Steele and Sarah Smith - educational consultants at Eltonix , stated in their webinar about creativity in the language classroom that to empower creativity students should experience some constraints in terms of content or structure providing an example of describing a color and some guiding questions, like what it looks like, where you can see it, what it smells, etc.  What are the techniques or tasks you use to empower creativity of your students at English classes?

Constraints might focus your attention at some points and you're expected to think and generate ideas in this field, e.g. if a task states to write about school accessories for a effective STEM learning and mention 5 objects different from a digital device then students can generate ideas about the ones outside a classroom, like natural stuff. Or vice versa, name 5 digital devices or tools essential for STEM learning. They are expected to name and discuss audio devices or VR glasses to investigate other senses to be aware of natural phenomena.

Limitation is expected to discipline thinking since you're directed or guided at some aspects that should help generate ideas. But students might follow some templates or traditions within these aspects, thus it could limit their creativity.
