Creativity assessment

To assess creatively, it is necessary to use a creative task. I remember, for my 6 grade learners I used a mind map strategy: asked student to create their own mind maps after text comprehension. First, I demonstrated my mind map model, sent a short video about how to create a mind map on WhatsApp chat. But , not all the learners watched it. I gave them criteria to follow. And other tasks were to use "five fingers" and Venn diagram (double and triple). strategies as output. I gave them feedback pointing out their strengths and weaknesses.

Self assesment and giving feedback to the teacher and  each other is  challenging. Allows students to see and reflect on their peers' assessment of their contribution. Focuses on the development of student's judgment skills. 

Giving criteria for language assessment or communicative skills are powerful. Because before organising oral activities I prefer going certain criteria to assess my students speech. This gives them to control and organise good speech on the given topic as well as before assessing language knowledge of my students I also give them criteria to assess. This sustainability help me and my students to understand and assess with no problem.

Assessing creativity of students can lead to a high achievement. Our students will get motivated if teachers give regular assessment. There are different types of assessment: group , individual, pair assessment. Group assessment motivates group members and increases the quality of group work. When it is necessary teachers should organise individual assessments in order to realise each learner’s needs. Assessment is essential in education field to inspire our students.

Assessing students can lead to very high achievements

 Creativity assessment techniques, including divergent thinking tests, self-assessment inventories, reports of creative activities and accomplishments, ratings/rankings/nominations of people, judgments of products, and creative climate questionnaires, that is grounded in an examination of foundations for creativity assessment. The variety of assessment techniques available poses challenges and opportunities. Each approach focuses on different aspects of creativity.
