As a middle school teacher, I think creativity makes lessons engaging and helps students connect more deeply with the material. I often use role playing or strytelling. For instance, I really like to watch stand - up, or Ted talking, and I decided to organize something like that for them too, to develop their critical thinking and fluency. I make up different stories and tell them, and the students try to continue it. So, they start to think creatively, because the stories aren't repeated and slowly expand their vocabulary. Using multimedia tools like videos, interactive games (Bumbuzzle, wordwall, kahoot, quizlet) also adds variety and appleals to different learning styles.
