Augmented Reality (AR) as an assistant in Learning English

We face a familiar challenge in Language Education: Vocabulary Retention, Speaking Confidence. In our rural school there is a lack of interactive boards. And my students from 6-7 grades and I as an English teacher haven't opportunity use all digital technologies at my lessons. That's why I start searching some alternative such as mobile apps, that's more available and convenient to use in any classrooms. So I found interesting apps with AR for learning vocabulary and practice speaking. This is let me to investigate 1) Could AR help students learn and remember new vocabulary 2) Could it increase student motivation and active engagement in lessons? 3) Could it helps students speak more confidently and fluently? I start my research with 6 grade students. It last 4 weeks, but a plan to continue it and add also another grades 7-8. Merge EDU, ARLOOPA, Sketchfab, Assemblr EDU and object viewer by Merge EDU apps I start using in my lessons. AR brings the learning process closer to a game, allowing students to master theory through practical, interactive experience. And As the result it was a significant leap in vocabulary achievement/ It wasn't just about scores. The classroom came alive. Students became more active, even weaker students began to participate actevily. AR created a playful, effective atmosphere. When every learnt words came alive in 3D format it's incrediable. I recommend for teachers use it in your lessons even once, and I believe it makes your lessons unforgettable. I as a teacher was very interested in these theme I made AR dictionary, that I and my students use for years. I learned to make my own 3D cube on needed theme.
